Chronic Disease Management

A chronic disease is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer, for example, asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, musculoskeletal conditions and stroke.

Ante-Natal & Maternity Shared Care

We can help organise health screening for you and your baby as well as organise your maternal care at either a public hospital or a private obstetrician.

Naturopathic & Functional Medicine

We offer integrative and functional medicine at our Beachmere Clinic. This service was born out of a desire to offer a truly integrative approach in managing common chronic diseases like gut dysbiosis, autoimmunity, insulin resistance (diabetes and weight loss) and cardio-metabolic disease.

Depending on the complexity of the health issues, we recommend a longer initial appointment lasting between 20-40 minutes. For especially complex cases we may require a longer time-frame.

In the integrative clinic, we utilise all conventional medical methods such as history taking, physical examination and conventional blood tests, imaging and specialist reviews. Depending on the health issues being investigated, we also use some additional functional diagnostic modalities through private laboratories. While the latter forms of testing are not commonly requested by medical practitioners in Australia, we consider them useful additional tools to gain further insight into the cause of your medical illness.

The Integrative Clinic is not bulk-billed. Please enquire with our reception staff for fees. Partial Medicare rebates are available with a valid.

PRP

We use your own blood to heal you.

This PRP therapy treatment reduces the risk of immunological reactions or contamination. PRP obtained from whole blood, consists essentially of platelets and other blood components such as plasma and vitamins and minerals

Indigenous Health

Indigenous Health: To help ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people receive primary health care matched to their needs our doctors can assist with early detection, diagnosis and treatment for common conditions.

There are 3 health assessments available to different age groups to assist in physical, psychological and social wellbeing. Health Assessments are available to children under 15 years old, adults aged between 15 and 55 years old and patients aged 55 years and older.

Once a health assessment has been completed, patients are eligible for further support and treatment from practice nurses or allied health services.

The ‘closing the gap’ program is available to patients who identify as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living with, or at risk of, chronic disease. Once enrolled in the program, eligible patients will benefit from lower or no costs when purchasing PBS medications.
