Beachmere Medical Practice Fee Information
Beachmere Medical Centre is a private billing clinic. Return appointments or follow- ups may be bulk billed, however this is up to the discretion of the treating General Practitioner.
Claims for private billing to Medicare can be processed onsite at the time of payment and will be deposited back into your nominated bank account within 24-48 hours. If you do not have a bank account registered with Medicare, we can still process your billing onsite however you will receive a cheque in the mail for your rebate. Payment is to be made at the time of the appointment as soon as your consultation has been completed.
Please be sure to provide our reception staff with any changes to your information, including Medicare Card updates and Centrelink Concession Card updates. This will ensure you are billed correctly.

* The Medicinal Cannabis Application Fee covers the paperwork required to obtain TGA approval. This is a once off fee per medicinal cannabis strain

NB – Dr Ali does not bulk-bill any of his consultations. Dr Ali is not contactable via email. All questions must be asked during your consultation. If you do need to follow up with questions, please book in for a phone call which will incur a fee. All fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change in accordance with Medicare rates.
Functional Medicine Consultations
There are separate private billing fees for functional medicine consultations. These fees are set at a higher price as they require extra training and knowledge by the General Practitioner, with a more extensive and comprehensive consultation required. Please see a list of these fees below.
For functional medicine appointments, return appointments for results will also incur a fee. However, if you are having some concerns with your treatment plan or any new medication prescribed, the treating General Practitioner will be more than happy for you to return to the clinic for a bulk-billed consultation to discuss your concerns.

Non-Attendance
A non-Attendance Fee will be charged if appointments are missed without prior cancellation.
Facility Fees
Our treatment room may be utilised for certain services and procedures – please be aware that fees may be charged for certain dressings, bandages and other products. These charges are not claimable through Medicare.
Workplace Injury or Illness
Due to the current Medicare policy, we are unable to ‘bulk bill’ any treatment relating to an injury or illness that has occurred whilst at your workplace. Payment for all treatment relating to workplace injury or illness must be paid at the time of consultation unless you can provide details of an approved Work Cover claim, or we are able to commence a Claim for your injury or illness.

All fees are payable upon booking the session.

Assessments
We offer a variety of assessments including Autism, ADHD, Cognitive, IQ, Personality, and more. Assessments vary in price according to the duration of the testing, evaluation and report writing involved.
